What’s Next?

I’ll probably go back over the threading for Book 2 starting this week. There’s structural feedback that I received from our editor for MB that I think is part of just the process we used to write the books. I figure if I go ahead now and start going through the draft looking for those things, then I save our editor a little time when he’s ready to look at Book 2.

I’m working on the side novella idea a little. It’s a fun little story to write. I might put it up on Inkitt or maybe Wattpad (maybe both) as we get closer to October as an additional way to draw in some readers for the big book launch.

Of course, we’re making those final decision on just how we want to handle the launch of the book. There’s just so many decisions to make about do you go Select and for how long, etc. Those details will come as they come.

Musial Inspiration

I thought while I’m letting some ideas simmer for my side project that I’d share a little bit about some inspirations. I love music. Sometimes I’ll write while listening. Other times, I’ll let ideas dance around my head as I listen to music while driving or on the T. So … here’s my playlist

For me, music often helps me find scenes and understand characters and their motivations. That’s especially the case with Kimber’s story, where I’m handling everything her and someone else is largely handling the world and other characters. The music helps me really get into her emotions about things that happen, the people she meets and falls in love with, and the decisions she and others make.
